California Highway Patrol debuts stealth patrol vehicles in crackdown on “video game-style” speeders

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has begun rolling out a fleet of 100 low-profile patrol vehicles, starting this week in Los Angeles and other key regions across the state, the agency announced.

The new 2024 Dodge Durangos are silver and gray, designed to blend into traffic and catch reckless drivers off guard.

CHP Commissioner Sean Duryee said the initiative targets “video game-styled” driving, adding, “These new vehicles give our officers an important advantage.”
