Park Blasts Alleged Assault of 86-Year-Old Woman by Homeless Man at Venice Senior Housing

VENICE – Los Angeles City Councilwoman Traci Park on Thursday issued a strongly worded statement in response to the reported attempted assault of an 86-year-old woman at a Venice senior housing facility, calling the incident “outrageous” and expressing confidence that the case will be handled with urgency by the criminal justice system.

“I’m outraged and furious over the reported victimization of a senior resident in Venice,” said Park, who represents the 11th District, which includes the Venice neighborhood. “I’m grateful the suspect was quickly arrested, and I have full confidence that our District Attorney Nathan Hochman will treat this case with the seriousness it deserves.”
