Woman dies after crashing into Metro train, police say

Police are investigating the death of a woman who died in a car crash involving a Metro train near Long Beach Boulevard and Anaheim Street Friday night.

The woman, identified as a 21-year-old Compton resident, was traveling with two male adult passengers southbound on Long Beach Boulevard just north of Anaheim Street in a 2014 Infinity Q50S at a high rate of speed with no headlights around 11:53 p.m. according to the Long Beach Police Department.

That’s when a 2019 Honda Civic driven by a 29-year-old male resident of Long Beach made turned from Anaheim Street onto southbound Long Beach Boulevard in front of the Infinity, police said. The driver of the Honda swerved out of the way to avoid being rear-ended and hit a guardrail, police added…
