A wrong-way driver was arrested Friday after she allegedly led the California Highway Patrol (CHP) on a pursuit with a second suspect arrested the next day after being found sleeping under a tree.
Around 12:15 p.m. Friday, a California Highway Patrol (CHP) Newhall Area unit observed a black BMW driving the wrong way on the northbound 14 Freeway near Escondido Canyon Road, said Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez, spokesperson for the CHP Newhall Area Office.
“As the CHP unit attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the BMW the driver failed to come to a stop and a pursuit ensued,” Burgos-Lopez said.
