The cause of death for George Wendt, who played fan-favorite Norm on the hit sitcom “Cheers,” was revealed by authorities in Los Angeles, California, according to media reports.
Wendt died on May 20 of cardiac arrest after suffering from a number of health issues, according to his death certificate issued by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health as reported by TMZ.
Many of the health conditions suffered by the 76-year-old native of Chicago, Illinois, were linked to his cardiovascular system.
