Two teenage boys lost their lives after a high-speed crash overnight, police say.
The crash occurred just after midnight Sunday at the intersection of Rinaldi Street and Zelzah Avenue, just north of the 118 Freeway in the Granada Hills neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
As they were traveling eastbound on Rinaldi at a high rate of speed, the 19-year-old driver of the vehicle lost control and collided with a retaining wall, LAPD confirmed. He and his 17-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
