Los Angeles neighborhoods rattled by earthquake as locals confirm ‘we definitely felt it’

A magnitude 2.7 earthquake struck just a mile northeast of the Sherman Oaks neighborhood late Tuesday, shaking residents across parts of Los Angeles, including North Hollywood.

The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed the tremor, which was felt by locals who took to social media to report the sudden jolt. Witnesses described a brief but sharp shake that startled many in their homes.

“Just felt an earthquake in North Hollywood,” posted one user. Another resident from Sherman Oaks wrote, “Yep, we definitely felt it.” A second person added,”That was such a sudden jolt, I was legit confused if something hit the building or not.”
