Los Angeles anti-ICE protests have reportedly led to more than 570 arrests. Approximately a dozen individuals face formal charges for serious offenses, such as assaulting officers. Authorities stated that law enforcement and prosecutors are actively handling the situation.
District Attorney Nathan Hochman has reviewed cases, charging individuals for firing fireworks at police, and assaulting officers with motorcycles, and firearm possession during the riots.
Hochman stated, “Cases are being presented to our office for filing consideration and prosecutors are determining whether cases should be filed, declined or referred to other agencies in accordance with the law.” He added, “At this time, we are gathering information about how many protest-related cases have been filed with our office and will provide details when we have them.”…
