New video shows vehicle involved in deadly shooting of Whittier man; $20K reward offered

It was almost two months ago at about 11:30 p.m. when 27-year-old Benjamin Castaneda walked out of his home in Whittier for the last time. Now, sheriff deputies are hoping a $20,000 reward and new video evidence will bring them closer to finding justice for Castaneda’s family.

Newly released surveillance video shows the vehicle that sheriff’s detectives believe was involved in the shooting of Castaneda. The video shows it fleeing the scene on Monday, June 2, when Castaneda was gunned down.
