Stray bullet strikes bystander in the face during gang shootout in L.A.

A man has been hospitalized after a stray bullet struck him during a gang shootout in Los Angeles, officials confirmed to KTLA Friday morning.

It happened at a Chevron gas station in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood around 12:30 a.m. Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
