A customer who got into a fight while making a purchase at a convenience store in Los Angeles County’s South Bay region was shot and killed Sunday evening, police said.
The incident was reported shortly after 8 p.m. at the 7-Eleven store located on the 15800 block of Prairie Avenue in Lawndale.
Arriving deputies found the victim, identified only as a male adult, suffering from at least one gunshot wound, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated in a news release. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by L.A. County Fire Department personnel.
