2 Dead, 6 Injured From Mass Shooting After Los Angeles Music Festival

A Hard Summer afterparty ended in tragedy when gunfire tore through a downtown L.A. warehouse early Monday morning.

Just after 1 a.m., shots rang out at the event, where a large crowd had gathered following a weekend packed with DJ sets and festival energy. Two people died—one at the scene, another later at the hospital—and six others were injured, including at least one person in critical condition, according to police.

The party had been promoted across social media as an unofficial afterparty for Hard Summer, a two-day house and techno music festival that took place over the weekend at Hollywood Park. Although LAPD hasn’t formally confirmed a link, The Los Angeles Timesreported that at least one event post tied the gathering to the festival.
