Triple Shooting Leaves 1 Dead in South Los Angeles; Investigation Underway

VERMONT KNOLLS, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 24 (KNN) – Three people suffered gunshot wounds in a reported shooting in the 600 block of West 80th Street near Hoover Street, according to initial reports.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told Key News Network that a 35-year-old Black man was found deceased at the scene. The other two victims, both men in their late 50s, were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

The 58-year-old male victim’s condition is unknown, and the other victim, a 57-year-old male, is in stable condition.

The shooting was reported around 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood within South Los Angeles. Evidence markers placed by officers in the street are visible on the KNN video from the scene…
