Firefighters successfully contained a brush fire in Sylmar on Sunday evening, preventing injuries and property damage as crews worked to secure the area.
The Land Fire was first reported at approximately 6:30 p.m. near 12600 North Harding Street, with smoke visible on local monitoring cameras, according to Watch Duty. Initial reports indicated the fire covered roughly three-quarters of an acre and was moving upslope at a slow rate of spread.
