Alabama man arrested in California church threats case; weapons seized

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (WSFA) – An Alabama man is under arrest in the Los Angeles area after traveling to the Golden State where he allegedly made criminal threats against a church.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the arrest of Joshua Michael Richardson, 38. The department confirmed Richardson is from Alabama but did not provide any details on his specific hometown.

The OCSD said it was contacted about “suspicious, threatening emails” on Aug. 28 that had been sent to St. Michael’s Abbey in Silverado Canyon. That’s about 45 miles southeast of Los Angeles…
