Woman stabbed during brawl involving 20-30 people in West Hollywood

A woman has been hospitalized in critical condition after she was stabbed during a massive fight early Sunday morning in West Hollywood, authorities say.

The brawl broke out between 3 and 3:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, in the area of Santa Monica Boulevard between San Vicente and Robertson boulevards — a stretch of WeHo where popular bars are located.

It was not immediately clear what started such a large fight, but LASD estimated that about 20 to 30 people participated in the violent scuffle, resulting in one woman being stabbed.

Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital, and her condition remained critical as of 1 p.m. on Sunday. She has only been identified as a woman in her early 20s.
