Los Angeles County Sheriffs detectives have recovered more than $1.4 million in stolen property, narcotics, and firearms after a search warrant tied to a cargo theft investigation led to eight arrests.
The search warrant was executed Wednesday on the 13000 block of Alameda Street in unincorporated Los Angeles by the Major Crimes Bureaus Cargo Criminal Apprehension Team, or CCATs. The cargo theft investigation began with Century Station patrol deputies, who traced the case to the warehouse location.
Inside, detectives discovered a cache of stolen “Acer” computers worth an estimated $1.4 million, along with seven stolen vehicles, including a tractor semi-truck and a 53-foot trailer.
