The body of a girl that was found in the trunk of an impounded Tesla on Sept. 8, which is registered to popular singer D4vd, has been identified by authorities.
The 15-year-old girl, Celeste Rivas, was identified through forensics, law enforcement told NBC Los Angeles on Wednesday. The cause of death is still unknown. The Los Angeles County medical examiner is working to determine how Rivas died, but police are treating it as a homicide investigation.
The Tesla was impounded at the beginning of September at a tow yard in Hollywood after it was reported abandoned and had not been reported stolen.
