Man Fatally Beaten with Stick in Rowland Heights; Suspect Detained, LASD Investigates

A man was reportedly beaten to death with a large stick in Rowland Heights, as the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department investigates the incident that occurred early Saturday morning. Deputies from the LASD’s Walnut Station responded to the 18000 block of Colima Road around 4 a.m. following a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to information obtained by KTLA.

On arrival, the officers found a male adult at the scene with injuries indicative of blunt force trauma. Leaving the location on a bus, the suspect, allegedly armed with a large stick, was identified and subsequently detained by deputy personnel, as NBC Los Angeles reported.
