Woman dies in motorcycle crash on blind curve along PCH near Point Mugu; DUI may be factor

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that took place on a blind curve along Pacific Coast Highway.

Information obtained by CHP, including witness statements, indicates a 35-year-old woman from Port Hueneme was riding a 2002 Harley-Davidson northbound on PCH south of Mugu Rock just before 5:45 p.m. Monday. At the same time, a 47-year-old L.A. man was driving a 2020 Chevy Silverado southbound on PCH, according to CHP.

“For reasons that remain under investigation, the motorcycle crossed over the solid double-yellow center lines and entered the southbound lane around a blind curve, where it collided head-on with the [truck],” a CHP media release states. “The impact caused the rider to be ejected into the roadway.”…
