AVENAL, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man searching for a dog lost in Kings County has put up posters from the Bay Area to as far south as Los Angeles in hopes of seeing his beloved Pomeranian once again.
Luis Mendez, who lives in Los Angeles, says he was visiting family in Avenal over Labor Day weekend when Cosmo, the 6-year-old Pomeranian dog, was accidentally let out of the house and ran away. Cosmo was last seen the morning of Aug. 30, and Luis assumes someone else has picked him up.
Luis tells YourCentralValley.com that he has been searching relentlessly since then, walking miles into the mountains, in his quest for Cosmo.
He has even put up posters all across California offering a $10,000 reward for Cosmo’s return. The posters have been placed by Interstate 5 in the Bay Area, in Fresno, in Hanford, in Coalinga, in Huron, near Highway 33 going towards Pismo Beach, and in Los Angeles.
Despite Cosmo being missing for over a month, Luis remains hopeful that he will be found…
