Residents of Simi Valley received some peace of mind as the local police department, with aid from LAPD’s Metro Division, captured a quartet of individuals implicated in a daring daylight burglary. On Wednesday, reports revealed that Hilario Mejia-Vasquez, 46, Roger Hernandez, 39, Alejandro Arenas, 27, and an unnamed 17-year-old were arrested following a heist that resulted in the theft of an estimated $30,000 in cash and upwards of $80,000 in luxury watches, in addition to an assortment of unnamed jewelry pieces.
The suspects, identified as Colombian nationals, appear to have been laying low within Los Angeles County, though how long they’ve evaded the grasp of the law remains uncertain, their identities and misdeeds did not escape the vigilance of law enforcement, who, after the arrests, executed a search that led to the retrieval of the stolen assets from the suspect’s vehicle.
