Unknown number of human remains found in desert junkyard in L.A. County

An unknown number of human remains have been recovered from a makeshift desert junkyard in the Antelope Valley, investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to KTLA.

Authorities said they were called Sunday just before 12:30 p.m. after a resident, who lives nearby, reported that her dog found what appeared to be a human skull at the site located near 124th Street East and Pearlblossom Highway in unincorporated Palmdale.
