A suspect tried to flee from authorities after allegedly trying to kill a law enforcement officer Friday morning in South Los Angeles.
Officers began chasing the suspect near Slauson Avenue and Vermont Avenue in the Vermont-Slauson neighborhood around 1:30 a.m.
