Nurse Accused of Fiery Crash That Killed 6 Enters Pretrial Stage Next Month

The horrifying story has long faded from the headlines, and a permanent memorial now stands at the Windsor Hills spot where a traveling nurse allegedly plowed through a red light at 130 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone at South La Brea and Slauson avenues, killing six, among them a pregnant woman.

Next month, there will be a pretrial hearing for the accused killer, Nicole Linton, 39, who was taken into custody after the force of the collision sent her black Mercedes-Benz careening into a gas station, setting off a fiery explosion. The dramatic event was captured on surveillance video, which has been played in court.

The Aug. 4, 2022 crash took the lives of 23-year-old Asherey Ryan, who was scheduled to give birth in a matter of weeks to a son who was to be named Armani Lester along with her 11-month-old son Alonzo Quintero and her 24-year-old boyfriend, Reynold Lester of Los Angeles, who were in a Jaguar that California Highway Patrol Investigators testified was split β€œin half.”…
