A pair of women and a suspect are dead after an officer-involved shooting in South Gate early Saturday morning, according to authorities.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department put out a statement indicating that deputies were dispatched to assist South Gate Police Department officers with an officer-involved shooting just before 2:30 a.m. in the 8400 block of San Luis Avenue.
LASD did not disclose why South Gate officers were called to the scene, but preliminary unconfirmed reports indicated that the original call to police was regarding a domestic violence incident.
While details surrounding what led up to the shooting itself were not immediately verified by officials, the sheriff’s department did confirm that two women were pronounced dead at the scene. A third woman was taken to a nearby hospital; her condition was not listed…
