A 13-year-old girl was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old, officials with the Pomona Police Department announced Monday.
On Nov. 23, officers responded to reports of a shooting victim in the 1300 block of East Pasadena Avenue and located the male juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and declared the teen dead at the scene.
Detectives with Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit assumed the case and began an extensive search for a suspect in the fatal shooting.
“During the course of their investigation, they identified a 13-yer-old female as the possible perpetrator,” Pomona PD officials said in a news release posted to Facebook. “She was taken into custody and transported to Juvenile Hall.”
