A woman was struck and killed by a train in the San Fernando Valley on Sunday evening.
The incident was reported shortly after 7 p.m. near Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Raymer Street, on the border of North Hollywood and Sun Valley.
Officers arriving at the scene found a woman, believed to be between 30 and 40 years old, who had been hit by the train. News video service KNN reported the train was operated by Amtrak, but police have not confirmed the railroad operator.
