In Los Angeles, SNAP Doesn’t Last the Month

I live in South LA and receive SNAP — $291 a month. At first, I thought that was some kind of safety net. Then I started grocery shopping.At my local Ralphs, eggs are $6–7 a dozen, milk is around $5, and even basic chicken costs over $10.
