At least four people have been rescued on an island in the Santa Clara River in Saugus.
Around 10:25 a.m. Wednesday, first responders received reports of four people trapped on an island in the Santa Clara River near Railroad avenue and Magic Mountain Parkway in Saugus, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The four people were 75 feet into the river with water speeds of at least 20 mph, according to officials on scene.
A helicopter was able to pluck all four people off the island and return them safely to the main land…
