Community Action: Responding to ICE Operations @ Home Depot

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids continue to terrorize immigrant communities across Los Angeles County, with repeated aggressive operations at Home Depot stores.

ICE has engaged in racial profiling, harassment, and violence against individuals who gather at Home Depot parking lots looking for work. ICE raids at Home Depot stores around Los Angeles and the nation have led to the detention, abuse, and death of immigrant workers, including Carlos Roberto Montoya, who died last August fleeing an ICE raid in Monrovia.

Pablo Alvarado, co-Executive Director of the National Day Labor Organizing Network said: “Home Depot must take responsibility—your lots have become targets for ICE, and silence is not neutrality. Stand with workers, speak up, and scrape ICE off your properties.”…
