A man was stabbed and killed in front of his friend, who can be seen distraught, calling his friend’s name, telling him to wake up. He was yelling, “John, wake up, John.” LAPD received a call of shots fired near a bar located on 7th St and Mateo Street. Arriving officers found a man on the ground suffering from multiple stabwounds. A trail of blood was found from the victim, who tried to get help but ultimately fell and died. The bar next to where the man died was full at the time of the stabbing. No one there was injured. 7th Street will remain closed from Santa Fe Ave to Wilson St.
