The Original Saugus Café, which opened in 1886 and closed earlier this month, is back open under new management and a new name.
The newly named Saugus Restaurant opened on Sunday. On Monday, KNX News’ Emily Valdez spoke with customers about the new changes. Robin, one of the diners, said the place looks very different.
“All the memorabilia and stuff is off the walls, so that’s kind of sad if they’re not going to put it back up,” she said. “But the food was just as delicious, and the service was wonderful. They’re very nice people.”…
