Some mountainous areas in San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties are expected to experience dangerous winds Saturday night and Sunday morning.
The National Weather Service indicated that areas including the Angeles Crest Highway, Acton, Mill Creek, Warm Springs, Mount Baldy, Wrightwood and Mount Wilson are expected to see steady winds of 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph.
The NWS said the winds would begin at about 10 p.m., though San Bernardino County officials said the start time was 7 p.m. In either case, the wind advisory is set to end at 1 p.m. Sunday.
“These gusty winds may blow around unsecured objects and could cause a few power outages,” the county said on social media. “Strong winds can also make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Please use extra caution while driving and secure loose outdoor items.”…
