Councilmember Curren Price Ordered to Stand Trial on Public Corruption Charges

LOS ANGELES – City Councilmember Curren Price was ordered Wednesday to stand trial on multiple public corruption charges.

Price, who represents the Ninth District and has served on the council since 2013 after previously serving in the Assembly and state Senate, faces five felony counts of grand theft by embezzlement of public funds, four felony counts of conflict of interest, and three felony counts of perjury by declaration. Price has maintained his innocence.
