Federal officials seized a large cache of illicit items, including identification documents, access devices and dozens of firearms, from a convicted felon in an upscale Southern California community.
The Homeland Security Task Force Los Angeles Financial team conducted a search warrant in the Calabasas-Hidden Hills area on Jan. 28, federal officials said Saturday.
“ID documents, access devices, 30 firearms, ammunition, armor and fraud devices [were] seized from a previously convicted felon,” HSI Los Angeles stated.
The sting operation resulted in the arrest of a suspect and other co-conspirators who HSI officials say are involved in various fraud schemes, including international credit card fraud and vehicle application fraud with unlawfully used Social Security Numbers.
