There’s a new warning about thieves who are distracting people to steal their money.
KNX News’ Karen Adams reported there have been multiple victims in Orange, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino counties. Orange County Sheriff’s Sergeant Gerard McCann said the department recently arrested three Romanian nationals who targeted a man at an ATM.
“One person distracted the victim by dropping some money, getting the victim’s attention, saying, ‘Looks like you dropped something.’ And another suspect who was using the ATM nearby had already looked and seen the victim’s PIN number,” he said…
