10-year-old girl and her elderly grandfather stabbed in San Fernando Valley; suspect in custody

A suspect has been taken into custody Friday after a 10-year-old girl and her elderly grandfather were stabbed in an early-morning attack in the San Fernando Valley, authorities confirmed.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were called to the 10300 block of Eldora Avenue just before 8 a.m. and found two victims suffering from stab wounds. Both patients were taken to the hospital, and their conditions were not immediately known.

Sky5 aerials showed officers canvassing the neighborhood, collecting evidence and speaking with residents as they worked to piece together what happened.
