Driver in deadly 99 Ranch Market crash had driving privileges pulled at scene

The 92-year-old driver who crashed into a 99 Ranch Market in Westwood earlier this month, leaving three people dead and injuring others, was informed at the scene that her driving privileges had been pulled, the Los Angeles Police Department told NBC4 Investigates.

The woman was told to contact the California Department of Motor Vehicles for an interview within five days of the crash on South Westwood Boulevard or her license would be suspended, the department said. Due to the fatalities in the crash, the DMV will interview the woman and check on her demeanor and cognitive skills, police said.
