Authorities seize 1,500 pounds of crystal meth

A coalition of federal and local authorities took 1,500 pounds of crystal meth off the streets of a Southern California community.

The Drug Enforcement Administration’s Los Angeles Office said Friday that agents collaborated with the South Gate and Fontana police departments to remove “substantial amounts of methamphetamine” from those communities.

While it was not immediately clear where the seizure or seizures occurred, South Gate police indicated that “interception and removal” of meth occurred on their streets.
