A 14-year-old girl believed to be a victim of human trafficking was rescued after a missing person investigation led Long Beach police to locate her in Los Angeles, authorities announced Saturday.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers received a report on Feb. 13 that the teen had gone missing. During the preliminary investigation, detectives determined she may have been the victim of human trafficking.
