Overall crime in West Hollywood declined in January compared with the same period last year, while arrests and calls for service increased, according to a report set to be presented to the West Hollywood Public Safety Commission.
The monthly report from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department West Hollywood Station shows 145 Part I crimes in January 2026, down 13% from 167 in January 2025.
Part I crimes include serious offenses such as homicide, rape, robbery, burglary and auto theft. There were no homicides reported in January. Aggravated assaults dropped to 11 incidents, down from 17 a year earlier, a decrease of 35%. Auto thefts fell by 50%, from 10 last year to five this year…
