Five people were hospitalized after a SUV crashed head-on into a tree on a sidewalk Tuesday in downtown Los Angeles.
The crash was reported just before noon in the 500 block of East 8th Street in the Flower District outside several flower shops. Two people were in serious condition with three more also suffering injuries that required hospitalization, the LAFD said.
