ALADS C.A.R.E.S. is Collecting Donations in Support of Family of West Hollywood Deputy Brian Sneed

A foundation affiliated with the union representing Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies is collecting donations to support the family of Deputy Brian Sneed, a West Hollywood Station deputy who died earlier this month.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced Sneed’s off-duty death on Feb. 13, 2026, saying it was “deeply saddened” by his passing and extending condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. No additional details about the circumstances of his death were released.

Sneed was sworn in as a deputy in 2014 and most recently served as a patrol deputy at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station. He previously worked at the Inmate Reception Center at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility. In a 2023 recruitment post, the department noted that Sneed enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling and working out, and described him as a devoted husband. He advised prospective recruits to “never give up, and always keep pushing forward putting one foot in front of the other.”…
