Sprouts to replace former 99 Cents Only store

Highland Park—A former 99 Cents Only Store in Highland Park will become a new Sprouts Farmers Market, set to open in 2027 at 6235 York Blvd., reports Bisnow. The 99 Cents chain shut down all 370 stores in 2024 after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, leaving many neighborhoods without a grocery store. The Highland Park Sprouts will be the third in the area, following new locations in Eagle Rock and Echo Park. Demolition notices signal a ground-up grocery project is planned.
