Couple accused of running illegal nursing homes in South Bay

Ten seniors housed in illegal nursing homes were fed moldy food and taken care of by unhoused people before they were rescued, according to law enforcement in the South Bay.

A couple was arrested on suspicion of elder abuse after 10 seniors were found neglected and malnourished in what police described as illegal nursing homes in Carson and Torrance. Alicia Hogg, 72, and Gary Hogg, 80, face charges of elder abuse and fraud in connection with the case.
