LAUSD Superintendent Carvalho breaks his silence after FBI raid of his home, office

Los Angeles Unified Superintendent Alberto Carvalho is speaking out for the first time since being put on administrative leave after his home and office were raided by federal agents last month.

A statement, issued through a spokesperson and the law firm Holland & Knight, was first published in the Los Angeles Times.

“Mr. Carvalho remains confident that the evidence will ultimately demonstrate that he acted appropriately and in the best interests of students,” the statement said. “We hope the school board reinstates him promptly to his position as superintendent.”…
