Downtown Los Angeles – A rowdy street takeover early Sunday morning escalated into a destructive lobby invasion at the Circa LA apartments, prompting Mayor Karen Bass to direct a major boost in police resources.[1][2]

Around 3 a.m. on March 8, a large crowd gathered for a street takeover near Figueroa and 12th streets, shutting down intersections for car stunts like doughnuts and burnouts.[3] Participants then stormed the lobby of the upscale Circa LA apartments at 1200 South Figueroa Street, adjacent to Crypto.com Arena.

Video footage captured the group smashing glass doors and windows with a metal barricade, overturning furniture, and clashing with staff members. One man in a suit, believed to be lobby personnel, faced projectiles and physical shoves before retreating inside.
