Two Los Angeles Police Department officers were arrested on felony insurance fraud charges Friday.
Officers Peter Mastrocinque and Nicole Grant turned themselves over to police after a 2023 review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office revealed that they reportedly submitted and received payment for fraudulent unemployment insurance applications filed during the COVID-19 pandemic, the LAPD announced Friday.
“This review raised concerns about applications associated with multiple individuals, including Mastrocinque and Grant, and was subsequently referred to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Special Operations Division for further investigation,” the LAPD said…
