Authorities in Los Angeles County are alerting residents about a growing crime trend known as “bank jugging,” in which thieves target people shortly after they withdraw cash from banks or ATMs.

The warning was issued by the Bell Police Department, which said recent reports show suspects closely monitoring customers who withdraw money before following them from the bank.
